The Cube – 001 – Kidnapped

Your friends invited you on a short adventure. “Come and help us guard a trade caravan,” they beckoned between drinks at the local tavern. “It will be a quick job, easy coin!” they said.

The bandits were easy to see off as they didn’t expect the trader’s caravan to have an armed escort. Sleeping under the stars by a roaring campfire for one night is a small price to pay for how many coins the merchant is offering. But little did you know that this simple trade caravan job would become a lifelong adventure in another world!

During the night, malevolent mystical forces selected you from the masses of the multiverse for transport across the vastness of the void. Depositing your sleeping form upon cold stone in a dark, forgotten chamber. To add insult to injury, a large rat has decided your leg would make a tasty snack!
A painful and shocking awakening brings a new realisation: You have been kidnapped! Stolen from your home world and abandoned in a strange new world. A world of countless forgotten ruins and deadly dungeons, a giant magical puzzle world that mocks reality.

Now your long quest to find a way home begins!
