Persistent Spell Effect Tokens

2nd Generation TokensPersistent Spell Effect Tokens

A little while ago here at the Studio, we started to tinker with the idea of creating Persistent Spell Effect Template Tokens that could be used to represent the effect of certain spells that remain in play for a long period of time. Our primary focus was the visual “look-n-feel” of the templates, crafting the artwork of the spells visual effect to fit within the well known parameters of D&D spells from the Players Handbook. Secondly we added the technical information to each token via a series of overlays that defined the spells area of effect (defined by a dashed line) plus the focal area of each spell (the center point).

Each spell represented in the pack is displayed via two different tokens. The first token is just the visual spell artwork, while the second token contains the visual artwork plus the following markings:

  • Spell Title/Name
  • The spell’s area of effect description.
  • A marker display the origin or focal point of the spells effect.
  • A dotted line that markers the maximum area of effect of the spell.

Work in Progress

This pack is a work in progress, with new tokens being added as they are created. Our aim to to create at least one token for each spell from the Classic D&D range of spells. The token pack pack can be purchased for free from the Studio WyldFurr online store. Updates to the token pack can be downloaded via the account management section of the Studio WyldFurr online store.
