Dungeon Map Tiles

This is a digital downloadable art pack product. The product contains a number of “map tiles” rendered from montage of photographic material plus hand painted modification. The map tiles are suitable for use with software such as Photoshop, Gimp, or other such graphics editing software. The aim is to provide Players and Game Masters a means of creating their own maps by assembling the tiles and then using the resulting map in digital role-playing software such as Fantasy Grounds, Battlegrounds, Astral, or Roll20.net. All Studio WyldFurr maps have been created for an on screen scale of 3 pixels to each real world inch, resulting in each 5ft character square being 180 pixels square.

Map Tile Artwork

Each dungeon map tile is a combination of hand drawn artwork and photographic source material that gives us the unique style of all Studio WyldFurr Maps. All of the tiles have been rendered from a birds eye view of the landscape, with shadowing used to give the illusion of depth.

Map Tile Scale

Our range of virtual tabletop role-playing tokens all use a standard scale of 1 inch to 3 pixels, for a standard D&D character square of 180 pixels. Thus all of our Map Tiles also use this character square size. But we have also included smaller 50 pixel square map tiles for those of us who use the smaller 50 pixel square size.

Product Description

Dungeon Map Tiles

Are you the kind of Game Master who enjoys building your own wizards maze, monster lair, or a long lost temple ruin?

The Dungeon Map Tiles art pack is the foundation art pack of the Studio WyldFurr series of Map Tiles ready made art packs. The package contains the basic floor tiles, walls, passageways, doorways, external walls, castle walls, round tower tiles, and a range of external wilderness map tiles for grasslands, forest paths, etc. There are also flooded map tiles, split level tiles, and Special feature map tiles such as pit traps, levers, sewer grates, etc.

All other Map Tiles artwork collections from Studio WyldFurr expand on this “basic set” of map tiles, spawning map building art packages such as the Sci-fi Map Tiles pack, the Cave Map Tiles pack, and the expansion Dungeon Map Tiles packages 2, 3, 4, and 5. With plans for more map tiles packs in the future.

This edition of the Dungeon Map Tiles pack is designed for use by users who have access to graphics editing programs and apps such as Photoshop, Gimp, Krita, or Clip Studio.

The package contains a wealth of raw image files in JPG and PNG file format. These image files form the building blocks which you can assemble into the form of a dungeon, fortress, or whatever kind of structure you desire.

We have a tutorial detailing how you can use the Map Tiles in Photoshop or Gimp. Or you can watch our artist Tailz building maps with the map tiles over at the studio Youtube channel.
